India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced free travel visa facility for Myanmar citizens In a meeting with the country's leader and state advisor Aung San Suu Kyi in Myanmar's capital, Naypyidaw, she announced on Wednesday.
The free visa is given to diplomats, officials and UN officials who visit India on the invitation of the Indian government.
In the meeting with Suu Kyi, the Indian Prime Minister will be with Myanmar in the wake of the latest violence in Rakhine. At the same time he expressed concern about Rakhine violence.
The Myanmar government is facing massive criticism in the international arena after the country's military campaign against Rakhine Rakhine Muslims on Aug 25. Meanwhile, Modi has announced that he will travel to Myanmar and stay next to the country.
Aung San Suu Kyi, a UN refugee agency spokeswoman, said in a few days that at least 1.5 million Rohingyas fled to Burma from Burma in the country due to international pressures in violation of human rights of Rohingya Muslims.
